The largest hospitality employer on the Isle of Skye, Sonas Hotel Collection, has appointed communications firm GEC PR to bring the pleasure of the Inner Hebrides to a new generation of UK travellers that desire to be close to nature, without compromising on exceptional comfort or cuisine.

Independently owned and run by award-winning hotelier Anne Gracie Gunn, Sonas is a collection of three elegantly designed boutique hotels, each with its own distinctive personality. All feature chic cosy bedrooms, welcoming spaces warmed by open fires, and delicious locally-sourced food served up with a generous helping of Highland hospitality.

In Sleat, the award-winning Duisdale House Hotel offers breath-taking views of Skye’s southern Sleat Peninsula and is perfectly located to explore the local wildlife and attractions found in the ‘Garden of Skye’. Also in Sleat, guests can stay at the intimate home-away-from-home Toravaig House, situated on an elevated south facing area of the Sleat peninsula. Its nine luxuriously comfortable rooms are ideal for group gatherings and celebratory holidays.

Further north of the island, holidaymakers can enjoy the historic Skeabost House Hotel, set on the shoreline of Loch Snizort, and one of the best salmon fishing rivers found on the island of Skye. Set in its own private grounds, Skeabost offers the splendour of a stately home, with elegant and spacious bedrooms, but with a decadent dose of cosiness thanks to generous fireplaces and tactile decor.

Andreas Maszczyk, Group General Manager for the Sonas Hotel Collection said, “We’re delighted to be working with GEC PR and look forward to their talented team driving a new wave of UK travellers to our family of hotels. It’s an exciting time for us at Sonas. We have growth plans and sympathetic innovations rolling out in the coming months that will make our hotels the must-stay accommodation choice on the Isle of Skye to best experience Highland hospitality and Skye’s inspiring rural beauty. At Sonas, we spent lockdown finessing our unique historic properties, and now we can’t wait to give a warm Highlands welcome to even more UK holidaymakers.”

Sarah Salord, Company Director at GEC PR said, “It’s an honour to be representing the Sonas Hotel Collection, properties that showcase the unique wild beauty and rural culture of the Isle of Skye. Working alongside Anne Gunn, a passionate tourism ambassador for Skye, GEC PR is looking forward to bringing even more discerning, adventurous media and holidaymakers to the Isle of Skye. The three hotels each offer a unique guest experience and are perfect for those eager to experience exceptional hospitality while embracing the simple life-affirming luxury of being close to nature.”
