Alongside historical brewpubs and renowned breweries, the city is also home to award-winning restaurants, traditional markets and foodie festivals. Mouth-watering food and drink events in the city this summer include Parks on Tap, which is running for an impressive 23 weeks from 25 April and Philly Beer Week from 1 – 10 June.

Starting at Azalea Garden on 25 April, the travelling beer garden will provide visitors with beer on tap in a relaxing park environment featuring comfortable chairs and hammocks. The initiative encourages visitors to explore and enjoy Philly’s extensive system of public parks and this year, Chef Brandon Thomas will guide a meat-centric menu of barbecue favourites, such as pulled pork sandwiches and “Beer-Can” chicken, all from a custom smoker. For beer connoisseurs, Kensington’s Saint Benjamin Brewing Company has created an exclusive collaboration beer called Parks Pale Ale, an easy-drinking summer sipper packed with wheat, oats and a healthy dose of Centennial hops. The mobile beer garden will be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5pm – 10pm, on Fridays from 4pm – 11pm, on Saturdays from 1pm – 11pm, and on Sundays from 12 noon until 10pm.
