Like the rest of the country, our team have had to adapt to a completely new way of living and working. At our last (video) meeting, we discussed how we were feeling, and shared the companies, people and brands that are making our lockdown lives more pleasurable while we stay at home.

Fiona, Director

Daylesford – Buying good quality store-cupboard recipe ingredients was proving challenging until I found out that Daylesford still delivered in London when many large supermarkets were not. Daylesford’s pantry ingredients (and the odd bottle of organic wine) have livened up my lockdown meals!

Spoony’s House – Dancing is definitely my favourite exercise, so I’ve been indulging in Saturday ‘club nights in’ listening to DJ Spoony streaming live on facebook. I think he’s doing a great job getting the nation’s bodies and endorphins moving, and he’s DJ-ing for free each weekend to raise money for the NHS.

Not on the high street – At this time when I can’t see friends and family in person, I’ve found some really unique birthday gifts on this site that they’ve loved. Deliveries have been pretty swift too.

BBC Good Food App – Having to cook three meals per day, for a family of four, has pushed my recipe repertoire to the limit and this app has been a lifesaver. It offers a huge variety of recipes for every meal of the day, and allows me to tailor my searches to ingredients, food likes and dishes as well as save favourite recipes in my profile.

Lanolips Balm – Thanks to the numerous times I’ve been washing my hands, this ‘Multipurpose Superbalm’ has helped to protect my nails from getting dry. It can be also used on lips, and is made from natural products and is cruelty-free.

White Barn, Vanilla Birch candle – This has been a nice treat at the end of the day and creates a soothing feel to my living room. It was also a gift from my sister so has a sentimental connection.

Body by Ciara Instagram live workouts – My Saturday morning workout instructor Ciara Madden transferred over to a digital format once lockdown begun and has been leading daily Instagram live workouts focused on female empowerment and body positivity. Along with motivating me every day to keep physically active, her classes have also been fantastic for my mental health.

Glossier – I’ve used this time indoors to give my skin a well-needed break from wearing makeup and using luxurious skincare products such as Glossier’s new Futuredew oil serum hybrid and the Balm Dotcom skin salve have really helped improved the overall condition of my skin.

FLY LDN – One of my favourite yoga studios in London, FLY LDN, has been running free, live-streamed classes three times a day on Instagram and I’ve definitely taken advantage of them. Stretching out during the 8:00 AM FlowLife class with a cup of tea is my favourite way to start my morning before heading to my desk.

Mihaela, Social Media Manager

Neom Organics – Their bedtime hero essential oil blend with chamomile, ylang ylang and cedarwood has been a vital part of my night-time routine and helped me to improve the quality of my sleep.

Trouva – I’ve always loved shopping at independent retailers and now that I can’t discover them on my walks around London, Trouva has made it so easy for me to find and support these independent brands and small businesses that most need it during these times.

Moonpig – It was my mum’s birthday recently and not being able to see her in person and celebrate has been tough but thankfully Moonpig offer next day delivery. I picked a letterbox, rather than a bouquet, so she can open it up and arrange the flowers the way she likes for a more personal touch.

Yoga With Adriene – Having discovered Adriene’s YouTube channel at the beginning of lockdown, I am now a full yoga covert! Her ‘30 Days of Yoga’ series has helped me relax and inspired me to make yoga a daily habit.

Bare Minerals – I’ve really been focusing on slowing down during this period and to help with this I’ve been using Bare Mineral’s ‘Claymates Mask Duo – Be Pure & Be Dewy’ facemask every Sunday evening as an end of week treat.

The Pioneer Woman – Ree Drummond is an American flood blogger and television personality who lives on a working ranch in Oklahoma; she is certainly a woman after my own heart as Ree uses cheese in everything! I watch her TV show on the Food Channel and have been using her recipes to bake a different cake for my family each week – I recommend Ree’s Chocolate Strawberry Nutella cake, super easy and ready to eat in half an hour.
