SWAROVSKI OPTIK ANNOUNCES EXCITING PARTNERSHIP FOR 2024
WITH
WILDLIFE FILMMAKER AND TV PRESENTER DAN O’NEILL

SWAROVSKI OPTIK, the long-range and high-quality optic specialists, has announced an exciting new partnership with wildlife filmmaker and TV presenter Dan O’Neill for 2024, supporting Dan on his expeditions to find and study wildlife around the world.

Dan O’Neill is an experienced field biologist, wildlife filmmaker, explorer, and presenter, specialising in travelling to remote and challenging environments, while tracking animals through camera trap technology. From travelling to the rebel-occupied red zone of western Mindanao to learn about the most endangered raptor on the planet, the Philippine eagle, to going in search of rare animals in the northern Amazon, Dan is a leading expert in wildlife exploration.

His most recent work as an Ambassador with the Snow Leopard Trust, the world’s largest organisation devoted to protecting this enigmatic cat and its mountain habitats, has helped track and learn more about the famously shy and endangered snow leopard across Kyrgyzstan. This ground-breaking research involves placing camera traps in key locations to monitor and record their visual and audio behaviour, helping to protect the Snow Leopard’s future through conservation programs.

Through the partnership with SWAROVSKI OPTIK, Dan has been provided with the highest quality optic equipment, including the impressive BTX spotting scope. With its angled view, wide field of view and high zoom range, the BTX ensures Dan and his team can easily and comfortably spot wildlife, even if on the move, as well as record their findings through the VPA iphone camera adapter.

Dan O’Neill said, “It’s been a lifelong dream to work with SWAROVSKI OPTIK, a company with the appreciation of nature at it’s core, and I’m very excited to showcase what these high-quality optics can do – even in the remotest parts of the world and toughest conditions. These binoculars and spotting scopes are an essential part of my equipment, and I can’t wait to use them on the exciting projects we have planned for the year ahead.”

Peter Antoniou, UK Managing Director for SWAROVSKI OPTIK said, “We’re very happy to have Dan come on board as a SWAROVSKI OPTIK Opinion Leader this year. Dan’s passion for protecting nature and inspiring people to discover the joy of observing wildlife, fits perfectly with  our company core values and what we stand for. This is an exciting year for SWAROVSKI OPTIK as we mark our 75th anniversary and we’re looking forward to supporting Dan on his expeditions in the year ahead.”

Inspiring people to love and care for nature is a fundamental part of SWAROVSKI OPTIK’s values, and this year marks a huge milestone for the company celebrating 75 years of developing, designing and manufacturing the highest quality optics. To mark the company’s 75th anniversary this month, SWAROVSKI OPTIK has also launched the world’s first smart binocular, the AX Visio, showcasing just why it’s one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high precision optical instruments.
