January 2023 – Sonas Hotel Collection, three high-end boutique hotels on the Isle of Skye, has
introduced an exciting new role this January with the appointment of Joeseph Carroll as the
first Head of People for the company as of 3 January 2023.
Independently owned and run by award-winning hotelier Anne Gracie Gunn and her family,
Sonas Hotel Collection is the largest hospitality employer on the Isle of Skye, and Joeseph’s
new position further strengthens the company’s continued investment into staff training and
development.
Joeseph brings extensive HR experience and knowledge in the hospitality industry having
worked for some of the UK’s most prominent hotels and restaurants during his 13-year career
including Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin, YOTEL and Cote Restaurants. In his new role, Joeseph
will oversee the HR requirements and people development across Sonas Hotel’s three luxury
properties on the Isle of Skye including Duisdale House Hotel, Toravaig House Hotel and
Skeabost House Hotel, focusing on training, recruitment and retention.
Andreas Maszczyk, Group General Manager for the Sonas Hotel Collection said, “It’s going to
