Opening of Four Seasons Philadelphia: Opening in Mid-2019
Set to occupy the top floors of the impressive new 60-story Comcast Innovation and Technology Center, which is Philadelphia’s tallest tower, the new Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia will provide guests with breath-taking and unobstructed 360° views of the city and outstanding service when it opens in mid-2019. The hotel will be the most highly situated hotel above street-level in North America, occupying the top 12 floors of the 60-story building at Arch and 19th Street. With a sleek minimalist design, the 219-roomed hotel will house three high-tech meeting rooms, two ballrooms and event rooms, a 57th-floor salon and spa, a fitness centre with a floor-to-ceiling media wall, and an infinity pool framed by double-height windows. The new sky-high hotel will include 39 luxurious suites and will also play host to Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who will debut a new restaurant on the top two floors connected by a waterfall staircase. Additionally, Chef Greg Vernick will open a seafood restaurant, Vernick Fish, with 140 seats inside and 60 outside, along with Vernick Coffee Bar on the ground floor of the Comcast entrance, which is already open to the public. Furthermore, the spa and lobby bar atop the hotel will be open to the public, so travellers do not have to be a guest to experience the incredible views. Designed by architect Norman Foster, the new skyscraper is the latest addition to the ‘vertical campus’ in Philadelphia created by media conglomerate Comcast, which is Sky’s parent company. The hotel will therefore provide guests with next-generation Comcast technology for complimentary and easy-to-use internet access and entertainment.
