July 2023 – With fulfilling experiences and educational journeys topping traveller’s wish lists this year, why not delve into the spectacular history of the Isle of Skye this Summer on one of four new tours exclusively available with Sonas Collection.

From exploring the past of legendary sorceress Sgàthach and the medieval sea kings of Clan Donald, to discovering Skye’s charming harbour capital Portree and the romantic ruins of Armadale Castle, the four tours each explore a historical story associated with the ‘Misty Isle’.

Led by local historian and trained archaeologist Coinneach Maclean, guests will be treated to a unique perspective of Skye’s past through Coinneach’s years of knowledge of Skye’s culture, history and tradition. Exploring secluded locations and hidden historical sites, these tours are the perfect opportunity to discover a secret side to Skye while also travelling more sustainably by avoiding the busy, summer tourist hot spots.

The four tours are available exclusively to guests staying at two of Sonas Collection’s luxury boutique properties on Skye, Duisdale House Hotel and Toravaig House Hotel, throughout the summer until 7th September 2023.
