British Airways has announced an increase in their weekly flight schedule fromLondon Heathrow to Philadelphia International Airport in spring 2018, growing theservice from seven flights to 10 flights per week and allowing passengers moreopportunities to visit America’s first World Heritage City.

From April 2018, British Airways will operate an additional flight on Monday, Fridayand Sunday, departing at 17:00 and arriving in Philadelphia at 19:55 local time, withthe return journey to London departing from Philadelphia International Airport at 22:00 and arriving in London at 10:15 the next morning. The flight will operate onBritish Airways’ newest aircraft, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, offering passengersthe choice of World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club World cabins.

The east-coast city of Philadelphia boasts 67 National Historical Landmarks, a livelydining scene, and renowned museums including the Barnes Foundation, home ofthe world’s largest private collection of post-impressionist art. The city is also home to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, offering over 200 galleries to explore, and theMuseum of the American Revolution, named the best new museum opening in 2017 by Lonely Planet. Visitors can take advantage of Philadelphia’s tax-free shoppingwithin the city’s prime shopping district Rittenhouse Row, and new for spring 2018, the Fashion District of Philadelphia will have over 730,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space.

Along with additional international flights, 2018 will also bring a 20% increase in hotelinventory to Philadelphia. New openings are expected from a wide range ofproperties like the Four Seasons, located in the new Comcast Innovation Towerwhich will provide guests with sky-high views of the city, as well as properties like theCambria Hotel, and Starwood’s new dual-branded W and Element hotels.
