Airport Parking & Hotels (APH) has celebrated a decade of customer excellence after being crowned by the public as the winner of the ‘Best Airport Parking’ category at the prestigious British Travel Awards 2019, held at Battersea Evolution in London on Wednesday 27th November 2019.Renowned as the ‘Oscars’ of the travel industry, Battersea Evolution was this year transformed into a Big Apple cityscape for the awards gala, which encompassed a New York theme complete with drinks and reception to reflect the vibe of Manhattan. Over 200 travel brands and visitor attractions received awards during the evening and the award for ‘Best Airport Parking’ was presented to Nick Caunter, the Managing Director of APH, by author and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth.
This year has been an exciting period for the airport parking operator and retailer, following the opening of a new state-of-the-art car park serving London’s Gatwick Airport at the end of 2018. Along with providing customers with shorter and faster transfer times to both terminals, the new car park is fully equipped with the latest in security technology, including complete CCTV coverage, high-tech sensors, security fencing and full floodlighting over the entire site.
Nick Caunter, Managing Director of Airport Parking and Hotels said: “We’re overjoyed and grateful to our loyal customers to have been named as the winner of the ‘Best Airport Parking’ category at the British Travel Awards for a tenth year in a row. This has been an exceptionally busy year for the APH team following the opening of our new car park at Gatwick Airport, so it’s fantastic for our staff to be recognised for their hard work.”
