25 November 2025 – SWAROVSKI OPTIK is setting a new milestone in the world of premium spotting scopes with the AT/ST Balance. The Tyrolean family company has launched a pioneering model that combines the outstanding optical performance of SWAROVSKI OPTIK with state-of-the-art image stabilization technology in one device. The result is a spotting scope that reveals a completely shake-free picture – even without a tripod. Its integrated image stabilization means that the system precisely balances out the slightest movements and even allows handheld observation at high magnification. The AT/ST Balance was developed for discerning users who don’t want to compromise between technical performance and practical application. The new spotting scope is available from the end of November 2025 from selected SWAROVSKI OPTIK retailers and from the SWAROVSKI OPTIK online shop at AT/ST Balance and is priced at £2,810 for the ST Balance and £2,980 for the AT Balance.
SWAROBALANCE: Innovation is our trademark
Innovation has always been part of SWAROVSKI OPTIK’s DNA. With the AT/ST Balance, the company is setting a new benchmark in spotting scope technology. SWAROBALANCE image stabilization, used for the first time in a premium spotting scope, compensates for even the slightest twitch of the hand and ensures a shake-free, clear image, even at 45x magnification. Thanks to its low latency, the system reacts without hesitation to any movement.
Technology that sets the standards
Integrated image stabilization, used mainly in cameras and binoculars up to now, is seen for the first time in a top-level spotting scope – the AT/ST Balance. “The optical image stabilization of the AT/ST Balance employs highly sensitive sensors to detect minimal movements and compensates for them in real time using an efficient electric motor that can precisely adjust the position of a lens unit. The system processes more than 1,000 measurements per second and corrects the lens position accordingly. The ability to observe at this quality and identify accurately using a handheld spotting scope marks a real turning point in observation optics,” explains Johannes Oberdanner, CEO of SWAROVSKI OPTIK.
More flexibility, simply brilliantIt is intuitive to use: a single touch of a button activates the image stabilization. The optical quality is the high standard that you’ve come to expect from SWAROVSKI OPTIK – with brilliant colors, maximum detail resolution, and excellent edge sharpness. At the same time, the lightweight, robust design and compact form of the scope really make it stand out. With a choice of two models, AT (angled) and ST (straight), as well as different magnifications, SWAROVSKI OPTIK offers maximum flexibility for a wide range of applications. It can also be combined with the VPA 2 (variable phone adapter) to take razor-sharp photos and videos.
A new chapter in spotting scope technology
With the AT/ST Balance, SWAROVSKI OPTIK is once again pushing the boundaries of what is technically possible. It is not the first spotting scope with image stabilization. However, it is the first to combine premium optics, SWAROBALANCE technology, and uncompromising quality in one unique system.
